Hello,
To be honest, I just started learning about all things coin. This penny crossed my path at work, and I had to look into it more. I'm not sure if it's a minting error, or post-mint damage. I greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!

The coin is just damaged. I'm not sure what caused it, but it didn't happen in the minting process. Just Post Mint Damage. PMD Keep looking and feel free to ask us any questions that you have.

Agree--post strike damage. Wonder what the obverse looks like?

This is the second one today with similar damage.
Someone must be having fun removing the reverse except for the three middle columns.
