Does this design look familiar to anyone here? the coin is small, perhaps 1 cm in diameter or so, and on one side there looks to be a knight in armor and on the other it appears to be a tick of some sort. Legends are difficult for me to make out unfortunately so I'm afraid I'm a bit stuck.

If anyone recognizes this and would take the time to post It would be greatly appreciated, as I am not the greatest researcher..

Thank you

Interesting coin, but doesn't look English to me. Most English medieval coins are pennies, which have a distinct cross on the reverse. Anglo-Saxon coins did have different designs, but I don't recognize this. Maybe from mainland Europe?

Venetian soldino

Edit: Michele Steno 1400-1413 https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces114279.html

(I think I read a novel where those Venetian ticks were used by an assassin ).

Nice work @tdz. I was thinking Milan, but couldn't find it there...

That weird angel-esque thingy (the winged lion of St. Mark) is a blatant giveaway for Venice. If you see this on a coin, almost certainly this is a coin from either Venice or one of the Venetian colonies.
