Found a 2002 Tennessee Denver minted quarter and it is unbelievably shiny on both front and back and the sides are even a completely shiny silver tone. It doesn't have any copper/brown hint to the sides. I compared it to a couple W quarters that are really pristine and it's a completely different color. It weighs 5.67 ounces so I think that's normal. I can't find anything that explains it so was hoping for some help identifying.

Looks like it has probably been plated.
Not unusual with that series of quarters.
It does not add any value to the coin.

Thanks for the feedback. Was thinking it wasn't anything special just hadn't seen one like it.

Well within the tolerance of 5.7 grams. Plated might be an answer, why I wouldn't begin to theorize. Stranger things happen for not real reason.

I agree; plated. Lots of aftermarket companies did/do this, and it's also a fun home/school experiement.

Plated, probably with a (negligible) amount of silver. This phenomenon is unusually common with the 50 States quarters compared to ATB...
