Please post the coins one at a time in the classic and colonial coins grading forum. It helps us give the right reply for the right coin. Also if you have VAM questions post the coin individually in the VAM section.

I'm no expert but I know that no Carson City Morgan dollars were minted in 1887. The mintmark looks wrong in any case.

And the surface on the top coin looks completely wrong.

Agree first is a fake, larger pics of the '89-CC (especially the reverse) would help. to the CCF!

Uuggghhh. You are correct. The coin is actually an 1878! I posted the wrong face photo - that one is an 1887 - P.

Apologies to OldFordMan for posting multiple images of more than one coin. But here is a larger (hopefully!) photo of the back of the 1889.

The 78-CC appears to be a VAM 6.

That's really cool - a VAM - Not sure what that means for it's grade or value. And I have to admit I really like the look and feel of the 1889. Its not in great shape compared to others, but you can see and feel the history in it.

Cannot see new pics here, confused now. Please start this thread over with one coin at a time.
