Hi All.

Not the best coin but I was wondering about the LIB. Much larger than normal. Do you think this is related to the rim damage on UNITED or just PMD?

Tried two different angles. Hope pics good enough.

Thanks for your opinions / comments.

Looks like either circulation flattening or struck through a small amount of grease on that area of the coin. Either way it is not not a premium for the coin. On the DDO's it will be on the motto on the right side of the coin or on the earlobe for this 1999 quarters forwards.

Depending on the design, you may have missed a DDR? But you would need to know what design it was, and where the DDR would be located.

Hi All. I am revisiting this coin after seeing other posts about the quarter.

I started looking more closely at the reverse. I think I see some doubling on the face of the child and the man's hair, ear and lip. Other may be just damage on head of woman or a die issue. Big die chip on hat. (What is it with hats and die chips)

Did not see any like this in my research.

Sorry about sideways image...keeps loading even when replaced!?

All the affected areas you are looking at on this coin are incuse marks from circulation. If it were a doubled die, the areas on the center of the design would be affected with raised devices above the fields or above the design. Wexler has no listing for this design. So they design was not hub doubled. (None reported yet)
