Very nice! The Oregon Trail is one of my favorites of the classic commemorative series.

Thank you all!

Your comments mean a great deal and reinforces the path of my pursuits for such fine examples.

The seller's pics weren't that great but some historical ownership provenance that came with the coin influenced my decision to go all in. When it arrived I was floored with the condition and natural originality of it's brilliant finish.

The NGC slab also looked like it did when slabbed I'm guessing prior to 1996. The NGC grade also gave me some confidence to move forward.

I think it's under graded at MS 64, but at this point I'm very happy with it.

While grading is not my strong suit, I agree. I would have guessed a higher grade.
