What happened to these on the mints site? They were there, now they're gone. But nowhere does it say "not available" or sold out.

Yea, I have them all. Got them to collect the Pres $'s a non-standard way rather than rolls or covers or any of the other many ways they market coins now.

Wow, that really is a slap-in-the-face to all those who started the series, with the belief that they could complete it. And it will make someone think twice before starting any series the mint may offer in the future.

SURPRISE!!
What do you expect. This is an organization that does things like selling storage boxes at the BEGINNING of a program to hold the whole series, and of course the product changes during the period so the storage box no longer works. So they sold a NEW box, and then it changed again. I realize that the first change wasn't the Mints fault, but the second change was.
I also except their product line to ballon again. They cut it down from 550 items to 200 items, but I believe new products are already being added. I wonder how long until it's back up to 550.

If the mint director is replaced with the incoming administration, then the rules about cutting products could change. I personally don't think it will be long before the US mint catalog is near 300 products.

So what do you guys think?
Should I sell these that I have,(all 8)to recoup my cash? Or hang on to them in hopes that their value goes up due to not many sold because of lack of interest and the mint discontinuing and destroying what they have left?

I will probably hold on to mine for a while. It is hard to say if the packaging will make the value go up or not. I do think they were a little on the pricey side and that's why they were a flop

It'll be hard for me to believe that the Mint won't suffer "hard economic challenges" right along side the rest of the country. And if our leaders/President/Congress start cutting agencies and programs to "trim the fat"......might that be the U.S. Mint too ?....layoffs.....jobs cut....not as much money allocated ? I just wonder if this, in the next couple years or so, may translate into the Mint "scaling back".....assuming the "Great Depression" is on the way like some predict/fear.....
