Hi everyone,
The US mint is coming out with a special 3 coin SAE set this year with 3 different finishes. Has anyone hear heard anything new reguarding this special set aside from the recent article in CW?

All that I have read is that one will be the regular uncirculated finish, one will be the proof finish, and the third finish (maybe) will be the reverse of the proof finish. The interesting part of this to me, at least, is that they all three may have mint marks. How about that, an uncirculated ASE with a mint mark!

In my personal opinion the set to watch will be the new PURE gold Buffalo nickel reproduction, in a full ounce of gold, with the silver eagle companion in the set! This could be one of the smallest minted gold coins the U.S. has ever struck if they do indeed change the design for 2007 which is highly possible. Something to watch!
