Hey all, I got this last night and I've looked at it over and over several times. I can't distinguish any tool marks, and it should be noted that the areas affected are not indents, the affected areas of the coin are even level with the whole coin. I haven't thought of what to do when I get errors, actually I've got a small crown royal bag I've been putting coins in and probably should put them in their own pockets or something but I haven't thought of where to go or how to get coins graded, determine if they're worth grading all of that. Sorry went off there a little, is the coin an error? is it grease in the die? Is something I should have looked at? Well I can't find the reply button. The dime weighs 2.3 grams

to the CCF!

It looks like something has sanded away the top of the obverse clad layer. I think it's just Post Mint Damage. PMD

Do you happen to have a weight on the coin? It may be slightly under normal.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

He stated the weight 2.3 grams it should weigh 2.27 grams which shows it is under weight due to the damage removing material. PSD/ PMD

Agree, it's post strike damage. Certainly not worth getting professionally evaluated.
Rest in Peace

It looks like PMD to me. You can see some of the copper core peeking through Roosevelt's forehead.
