Saw this as a sold item a few hours ago, went fast enough that I didn't even have time to see it as a for sale item. Somebody is gonna find out the hard way that you don't get good deals on 3 Cents...

He sold a couple dozen fakes this past month, including several key date coins. The sad thing is the positive feedback he's already gotten from some unsuspecting buyers.
Rest in Peace

I would hate it if I was just starting out as a collector! With all of the counterfeit and "copy" coins on the market, I think about half of my collection would be worthless.

What do you see here that jumps out and screams FAKE? I mean I know obviously, I'm just asking for a friend.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Didn't even think to check previous sold. Wow. This guy knows exactly what he's doing.

As for why I know Yoko, the luster isn't quite right. It has a sickly plastic look that isn't normal. Secondly, the lettering and devices are soft and mushy and the fonts aren't quite right. The date is also way to tall and misshapen.

Oof, that will hurt the buyer if they notice.

Rule number one. Only buy third party graded for key and semi-key coins or those extremely popular. I take it one step further and limit my raw purchase to $150.00 sight unseen, with a solid sales reputation and hassle free return policy. This example looks like aluminum.

Having done well on that last round of selling, this seller now has a bunch more fakes listed.

His fake 1884 Three Cent is a double whammy to a buyer, it's a fake 1881.

I'm beginning to not feel sorry for anyone that buys fakes like this guy had. They are so obvious. If they took the time and did their due diligence they'd see how bad they are.
