Hi Everybody!
I have a couple of these "coins" that I suspect are some sort of Chinese arcade tokens, but I am unable to find other examples of them online. Anybody have experience with these?

This commemorates the year of the Dragon. The most recent year of the dragon was 1988 so this is probably from then.

The bottom picture reads "China coining company". The middle symbol is the word dragon. I'm unsure if it made for the celebration for the year of the dragon.

Um, no. The Chinese zodiacal calendar is a 12 year cycle. Previous dragon years were 1988, 2000, and 2012. Perhaps struck in one of those years, perhaps it was stuck merely int he hope that someone born in a Dragon year would buy one of their medals. They probably made one for each zodiac-animal, so everybody could buy one.

Privately-struck medals like this are commonplace in mainland China, as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan. There's no hope of cataloguing or tracking them all.

According to my wife who is Chinese, the two characters above the dragons indicate this is not for a typical Dragon year but for a special year that comes only every 60 years 1988, 1928, 1868 ...
