Hi,

I'm not sure of this one - possibly Wismar?

Obverse legend seems to be MONE.ND.GREWISMOL
H.V, above crowned Lion (though looks like a pig)
reverse 7, 6 wither side

Would anyone have a reference?

It must be this one: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces168755.html

Mecklenburg, 1 Sechsling, Ulrich III, 1556. The "pig" is supposed to be a young bull (a steer according to Numista, a new word for me ... )

Brilliant - thanks very much. It's actually quite a nice coin in-hand.

Neat coin! Yes, that crowned cow also appears on Wismar coins (where he is sometimes sticking his tongue out).

I assume the mint is Grevesmuhlen. It seems I learn every day about another small place like this that used to be of enough importance to mint coins.
