No worries about that - continue to share things you have questions about; it's all a learning process, and your post helped me learn a bit about potential Lincoln Cent mules. By the way, my oldest grandson (soon to be 15) likes pranking me occasionally. He enjoys keeping his old Pawpaw on his toes...

Leave it to the grandkids! I know how you feel! They are so much smarter then me on so many things. I keep them on their toes relative to life stuff though. No worries here. Stay and learn more with us.

That coin must be this one from a PCGS article from 2012. As the article mentions, it was sold at Goldberg Auctions in 2003 and then again in 2010, at which time it was "not guaranteed to be authentic". PCGS and other TPGs would not holder it nor deem it authentic, but the Treasury Department in 2002 said it found no evidence the coin was fake... https://www.PCGS.com/news/the-myste...lincoln-cent

Bentpenny, your story about your grandson was entertaining and I enjoyed it. I remember the time my friend said he found a jar full of old gold coins at a construction site and he wanted to give them to me. Turned out to be candy wrapped in gold tin foil that looked like coins,we both laughed when I opened the jar. As your story there was no harm done.
