Beware_Of_Doug New Member United Kingdom 17 Posts	Posted 07/25/2021 04:43 am Just got this from my father's old collection....I think he bought it for $0.75 about 40 years ago. Not sure if it has been re-plated or not. Is is bright but doesn't look like a silly mirror finish I have seen on others. There is a defect of some sort above the date I was hoping might be some indicator for those of you more experienced than myself. Many thanks in advance for any advice. Report this Post to the Staff

If the edge shows a steel core between two layers of zinc, it is genuine. If it has been replated, the edge will look all the same Edited by JimmyD 07/25/2021 07:08 am Report this Post to the Staff
T-BOP Rest in Peace United States 18456 Posts	Posted 07/25/2021 07:31 am It's not replated but looks like it was cleaned long ago . That's just a stain above date , and a few issues on reverse . Unfortunetly it is still only worth 75¢ if it attributes details due to cleaning . Report this Post to the Staff
