Is This A Lamination Error On This 2019 Canadian Quarter?

Wrekkdd Pillar of the Community Canada 3328 Posts	Posted 07/26/2021 4:27 pm I'm not even sure if this error can occur on coins, I assume it's PDM but was curious so I'm here.:) Alot of the "wear" seems to be on the low points of the coin rather then the high points so made me wonder. I don't think there is anything at the mint that could cause this but mayb too long of a soak in something? I'm just surprised to see a newer coin with this kinda wear and most of the wear is the coin low points. Report this Post to the Staff

The wear you are seeing is on the high points on the caribou, the low points are in the feilds around it, this could have been a laundry mat coin, vending machine, outside etc, Theres no telling how or why PMD happens unless its completely obvious. Wrekkdd Pillar of the Community Canada 3328 Posts	Posted 07/26/2021 5:52 pm I always mix up high and low points, high points on the coin are low points on the die and vice versa, and ya true say, I'd guess laundry mat coin or something.
