@jade, I think that your second pic is upside down. With those crowned pairs of opposing letter Cs, I'm thinking Charles III, such as this 16th Century copper from Lorraine:

There is an interesting story to the single arrow through the three birds visible on the first pic. Here is a English translation from the cgb.fr website:

Quote:
The three baby eagles carried on the reverse find an old justification. At the end of the Middle Ages, people pretended to believe that the Dukes of Lorraine were descended from a brother of Godefroy de Bouillon, Guillaume. A legend has it that Godefroy, after having conquered Jerusalem, saw three baby eagles and pierced them all three with a single stroke of his bow.

@Spence
Thanks for the ID, it looks like you nailed it. As David says, not much info that I can find on the web for this, even after your ID
.

I also have to give one of these to @spence:

I collect Duchy of Lorraine coins, and would not have gotten this token so quickly (I think those Cs are not used on his coins).

That device (three small birds in a row) is the central element of the arms of the Dukes of Lorraine, and was introduced on their coins in the reign of Ferry III in the late 1200s. The more famous "Cross of Lorraine" only shows up with the merging of the Anjou and Lorraine dynasties in the mid-1400s under Rene I.
