It's not Jewish, but from Morocco. If you take the image of the non-star side and rotate it 90 degrees anticlockwise, you'll see the numbers "1285" across the bottom half of the coin. This is the date, in the Islamic calendar; 1285 equates to about 1868.
At about 1 inch across, the denomination is probably a 4 falus.
So why does a Moroccan coin use the "Star of David"? It's actually the
Seal of Solomon, long been used by the rulers of Morocco. A five-pointed version still appears on the flag and coat of arms of Morocco.
