The coat of arms is of the Electorate of Saxony, a country situated in what is now eastern Germany and Poland. It appears to be a 1 pfennig; I assume this coin is quite small (about 12mm across)?

It's from the 1600's; the date is shown in the four numbers, two on either side of the shield. I can't make out the last two numbers in this pic, but the mintmaster's initials "CK" indicate this coin must date from sometime between 1640 and 1678. If I had to guess, I'd guess 1651. Not that it makes much difference; all dates are listed in the catalogues (KM# 130) as having the same value (somewhere in the $10 to $20 range, in that condition.

With letters CR (initials for mintmaster Constantin Rothe) and date 1674, this must be: Electorate of Saxony 1 pfennig (as Sap already assumed) KM#519, struck from 1667 until 1679 (the last year with mintmasterinitials CF/Christoph Fischer).
