@brad, first welcome to CCF. Second, US coins are struck with coin orientation, i.e. you have to flip the coin from top to bottom when you turn it over. Is this what you are seeing?

Well if I take a newly minted canadian quarter for example, I look at it heads side and the fsce of the queen is right side up, her crown on top, if I flip this coin over (left to right) the tails side shows withna moose , antlers ontop. So I am guessing what you are saying is that US coins will show upside down if I turn them left to right? You are right if I flip it up-down everything is ok. I thouht it was strange that so many coins could have a mistake from an 1893 quarter to a 1953 dime lol rookie mistake. But I do have a couple canadian dominion coins that do appear upside down when I turn them left to right

Older Canadian coins before before 1902 appeared upside down.

This what is known as the Coinage Axis.
When they are facing the same way, it is called a Medal Axis.
