On tokencatalog.com, I see two similar examples, also dated 1864, but with 1/4 in the central field and with the S correctly oriented. Member of SPMC, FCCB, ANA and ANS. captainmandrake1 Pillar of the Community United States 878 Posts	Posted 08/08/2021 04:44 am I just got one of the irradiated dimes as well! Looks like they were made for visitors to the Oak Ridge Atomic Museum and another type without encapsulation was made for the World's Fair in New York in 64-65. The radioactivity in them decayed in less than a minute so no worries! A nice piece of Cold War history! Report this Post to the Staff
