Hi. I'm very new to coin collecting and finding it extremely interesting and fun! I'd love some tips from more experienced collectors, like the people in this forum. I've found a few cool looking coins and this 1984-P dime is one of them. I'm not sure if this is any error coin or just from wear. I'd greatly appreciate any feedback on this coin, taking images of the coins to post, or anything in general. Thanks everyone. Looking forward to responses

That is a very rare dime since there were only 856,669,000 minted and you have one of them. Now try to find the other856,669,099. Only kidding. Only worth about .10

Good to see you here, and we have a lot of experts who can help you with your questions.

If there is a part of your coin that you think might be an error, it would help to share that.

@kris, first welcome to CCF. Second, it looks like this coin was struck from tired dies. That would explain the blurry WE in IGWT. Also, the post that forms the center of the number 4 might have been broken off and so metal flowed in to fill that void.

. Kris. I remember when I first started at the coin hobby. I was hesitant to post and ask about a coin. For sure not to give my Two Cents worth of comments on someone else's coin. You'll find here at CCF there's always someone that will try to help. Here there's not a dumb question.
Like tdziemia mentioned. Let us know what you think could be the problem with the coin.
If you need help finding sites to gather information there's plenty that we can point you to.
I'm very sure that we can't wait to see and here more from you.
