Great looking notes! Love mismatched serial numbers.
I have a $20 1954 modified note that my dad passed on to me, which is pretty special.

Quote: I decided to get the other 2 notes graded. I sent them in a few weeks ago and received them back yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Fantastic submissions & results Congratulations @Canada67!

Quote: I have now documented at least 15 H/O error notes that have survived extinction. The lowest mismatched serial number I have seen with an H/O prefix ends in 2033 and the highest is 2961. If you want a real challenge now, figure out which one of the serial numbers is the error. Quote:the best site for CDN currency is undoubtedly: https://cdnpapermoney.com/forum/They actually started their Serial Number Data Base for the purpose of tracking the double-denomination revised 2005 $10 note (a Ten made with the watermark/security thread $20 paper) I remember this was one of the times I liked something so much that I searched tons of circulated $10 banknotes. I didn't find one though but while I was looking through them I was reading the serial numbers on the lookout for a radar or something simple I wasn't expecting any solids, ladders or millions. As I was going through a stack of tens I found this banknote and actually started to pass by it and chuckled thinking to myself, "ha ha that one's serial numbers didn't match". Then just as quick I thought," WAIT A SECOND!!! that one's serial numbers didn't match!"

Then just as quick I thought," WAIT A SECOND!!! that one's serial numbers didn't match!" WOW! That is an amazing find @Hunter And BTW, I did the same (searched thousands of TENS) hoping to snag that elusive "double-denomination" (BTW or BTU printed on $20 paper) error but never finding anything. I was also on the look out for the short BTV prefix & found 1 raggedy example. And then I got a solid 8 radar $5.00 note in Lotto change (also a little better than a rag). That stopped me cold from searching any more bundles. I just thought, hey, if I can't find anything searching thousands-upon-thousands & then one finds its way into my hands by random chance, I guess the odds are just too crazy against me!

I understand completely. Finding the mismatched serial number was a nice surprise for me but I would have much preferred finding what I was looking for, the double denomination error. All those 10's I searched from bank withdrawals and not finding the double denomination error or any BTV's and then I bought gas one day and the guy hands me this for my change. "It's better to be lucky than smart."

Sometimes, it clearly does "pay to use cash" (especially if you're a collector!) That's a fantastic BTV to get in change (great condition too!) I didn't get this in change but it was a small $100 cash withdrawal & one of the five $20.00 notes happened to be this one:

Very true. But were you banging your head against a wall thinking, " WHY COULDN'T IT BE NUMBER 1?!!!"
