It's a small date for sure.

Now for the exciting part to find out for sure if it's copper or zinc.

The area near the rim under Lincoln's shoulder is looking recessed like a zinc cent. (But the weight sure makes this one a toss-up!)

You really need a scale that reads out to the one-hundredth of a gram. (2 decimal points - not 1). That coin could actually weigh 2.85 grams and on your scale it would round up to 2.9

@Dearborn Thank you. I will. Do you suspect it is likely zink? If it is 2.85, would this mean it's likely zink?

thanks again

Well, it a very strong possibility that it is a heavy zinc coin. as all known copper small date Lincolns have been accounted for in personal collections.

Very likely it is zinc. We really need a close-up on the front of the coin (obverse). Forget the UTuber. If you have a local coin shop, take it into them for help. You probably can buy an inexpensive scale there. My first thought from your photos was that it's a large date, but the build up on the coin and limited size makes it difficult to tell. Weight is closer to zinc. Your photos need to be a pinch larger, can you try that for us?

to the CFF!

A good number of our members use only a phone's camera, they can do a very good job. Your photos are good being in-focus, they just need to be a pinch larger.

You should be able to buy a scale from your coin shop

@Merclover truthfully it's the weight that's hard to figure out. It seems like a solid small date.
