If you don't have weights to check your scale for accuracy, grab a zincoln and a copper and weigh them to see what your scale comes in at.

Full reverse photo might also help to see if there is any indication of zinc

Normally I would not advocate dropping a coin on a hard surface, but this one's in pretty rough shape anyway. Compare the "ping" to a known 95% copper cent (pre-1982) and a known copper-plated zinc cent. The sounds don't lie.

It's a small date for sure.
Now for the exciting part to find out for sure if it's copper or zinc.
The area near the rim under Lincoln's shoulder is looking recessed like a zinc cent. (But the weight sure makes this one a toss-up!)
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Thanks. Tried it but my hearings not so good. Can't really tell. Looks like I'll have to send it in in order to get to the bottom of it. Thanks tho.
