Good Morning, I would like an idea on current value for these Consecutive 1980's $100 Australian Bank Notes. 7x Consecutive numbered ZBC 20x Consecutive numbered ZCC Condition is very good, stored dry airtight since withdrawing from the bank in the 80's

As a rule, consecutive notes (especially in higher denominations) do not bring a premium beyond their individual grades. to the CCF!

Face value way too high to justify keeping them.
The problem has to do with inflation. $100 paper Notes were originally issued in 1984. At an assumed average inflation rate of only 2% per year, they have lost 53% of their buying power in the period 1984-2021. Now, they have a buying power of only $329, in terms of 1984 dollar values.
You would have been far better off, if they had been consecutive paper One Dollar Notes.
If they had been One Dollar Notes, they would have lost only $3 Dollars and 71 Cents in real buying power since 1984. Not $371 real buying power loss, as with $100 Notes. One dollar Notes were terminated in issue before 1984, but many collectors still had mint fresh crisp One Dollar Notes in consecutive runs.
Not forgetting that there is a collector premium value for both the One Dollar and One Hundred Dollar Notes, for consecutive runs in pristine condition.
The bias is towards premium plus value is per Note, not per face value. Thus, the premium percentage over face is a lot less for high face value Notes.

That was a comprehensive knowledgeable answer. I am not a collector of notes but was very impressed with that answer

i guess the ZCC might have someone interested especially since it's 10 in a row, unfortunate I feel they are circulated and therefore of very little premium compared to face value. Valuation of 2700 (maybe a bit more like 2800) I guess and therefor unless its a private deal don't try selling as the fees would be greater than the premium. Can still be spent as long as shop keeper willing to accept or you can bank them upto you be a shame but at least its good spending money unlike in the UK.

Had they been truly Uncirculated maybe something, but because they look rumpled and creased in corners, the quality has declined to VF/gVF. Maybe a few dollars more for the long sequence of continuous notes. Most buyers will want perfect examples rather than these.
My guess is about $3500 as a complete unit or sell them in separate groups of 5 and singles.

Hey Charger, if you posted personal information like email, it was removed, as that is not allowed. You would have to click on my name and you will see an option to email me. I have a friend who wants to buy all your notes. You may have to get more posts to be able to do that though.
Steve :)
