Hello all. So today went to a few rummage sales and I was given this 1949s nickel. I usually just put older nickels in my safe But today I decided to look it up.So I was sent here.I have been interested with pennies,so any input as far as errors and whatnot would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like two different coins , must be the lighting or the back drop difference. the Obverse appears to have some doubling on IGWT and Liberty I had to save the Image to make it larger , I cant tell if its Machine Doubling or what I am no Pro at this, when the real pros get here they will let you know.

Need close up pics. Any errors or varieties you know to look for on cents, would look the same on nickels and all denominations of coins. John1

Even by increasing the size, all I see is a worn nickel. What did you see that made you think there was an error.

I don't see any errors, just a worn coin.

@pauley I see no evidence of doubling. I suggest reading and observing more on the forum before giving other users potentially wrong information that could lead to confusion.
