Sory guys my camera juat quit working ao I cant retrive th obverse of both coins for now. Anyway as I was examining if they had fg and floating roofs I noticed possible faint Lincoln upsidown images compating to a good clash pic the first one looks tarniahed where the head ia and I see faint hair lines where they should be.
The second pic when I zoom in on my computer I can see many places of clash hair lines beard etc also looks like a crake from e down to above seated Lincoln. and on the letters up top lines where clash letters would hit but ever so slightly rotated from the pic I was comparing to online. I wonder could clash actually cause the floating roof? But both fgs look as though they are partially filled with gunk. Maybe they were trying to polish out the clash?

Can't tell much from your pics about a die clash but a floating roof on this year, as well as the 1969-D Lincoln Cent, has nothing to do with a die clash. The floating roof, as well as the absence of the designers initials, FG, on these cents is a result of an over polished die. Better close up and cropped pictures would help in determining if you have a die clash.

Hi bumpkin I just zoom up the picture closer. but it is very faint best detail is each letter at the top of second pic has marks in the area where the obverse would have intersected them, as well as if you look for where Lincolns hair would be intersecting letters at bottom there is similar hair lines between the letters as comparison pics, but again very faint. I can see little designs here and there.however I see it better on my microscope screen than In the pics. Which for what ever reason just quit working in the middle of taking these pics.

Just a heavy die polishing issue. Die events. Statues are also weaken from the polishing. The 'FG' is weakened as well, but not missing.
