The new store has been temporarily closed for a few months now according to the website. I saw a stop work order in the door awhile back, but assumed it would be open again soon.

I received an email from them a while back with a list of graded coins ICCS + PCGS.

I know they are buying and selling bullion at the new Kingsway location by appointment only.

Is Joe Iorio still running J&M Coins? I used to see him in the store when I went there a few years ago.

The new store is really small compared to the one on Broadway. Gone are all the big display cases where you can browse to your heart's content. Very few things are displayed; most things are in drawers.

It looks like they no longer do much walk in business.

I think the new location has been a bust. I recall talking to Joe about the move a few months ago back before they actually moved... it was delayed many months due to construction & inspection delays and then finally after they moved it was taking them forever to settle in. I was in there one day and the elevator was broken...so they couldn't complete moving heavy equipment up and downstairs. I was there again last weekend and saw the stop work notice...

I am concerned that this could spell the end of a storefront presence for J&M as that will leave very few options in Vancouver, they had already closed the mall presence in Metrotown... Maybe that is why Chantou has been so busy over the last few months...
