This 1970-D quarter was found in pocket change. There's only one listing for an RPM for this date---WRPM-001 by Wexler, and this quarter is not the same RPM. None by Variety Vista for this date.
What do you think? Would you send it to Mr. Wexler for a possible listing?

So either you have a new discovery or the mintmark took a well-placed hit post mint.

Thanks mrwhatisit. My thoughts exactly. Dearborn, you just repeated what I said in my initial topic post. I KNOW it is not a match to WRPM-001.My question was whether this looked like a newly discovered RPM.

Also Dearborn, what you incorrectly referenced in your response was the 1970-D Lincoln Cent. The coin I posted is the 1970-D quarter.

No worries Dearborn! Now that you know what coin we are talking about---
What do you think about sending it to Wexler for a possible listing as a new RPM? Any opinion?

Well, after the last fiasco, do you want my opinion?

Well, after looking at it with fresh morning eyes, I think that you may have a chance at a new listing with Wexler's. So I think you should send it in. And Good luck.

Thanks Dearborn! I have never sent in anything for listing before. I doubt if the quarter will increase in value if listed---but it would still be cool to have attribution for a new discovery.
