Hobo Buffalo Nickel Identification Help!

HoboHelp New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 08/24/2021 10:23 pm Hi all, My grandfather recently acquired a large coin collection when a friend passed on. He has asked me to help him identify and value the collection. We found this cool coin which I have been able to identify as a 1913 or 1915 Buffalo Hobo Nickel. I have been attempting to do a visual comparison based on the images and qualification specifications over at the Original Hobo Nickel Society's website. I don't feel great about any of my guesses. jacrispies Pillar of the Community United States 3848 Posts	Posted 08/25/2021 02:08 am The date looks to be 1913. Possibly a type 1 raised mound nickel, a shot of the reverse will verify that. The engraving appears fresh, meaning it is most likely a modern reconstruction and not a classic artist. Suffering from bust half fever.
