Looking to get any info I can on this Nickel. I looked into the population report on ICG and it's the only one and now I'm stuck. I don't know what BR#2742 means or any idea on the price it might be worth.

I believe BR#2742 is referring to Walter Breen's Complete Encyclopedia of U.S. and Colonial Coins. I don't have the book to confirm this is correct though.

There are a few different doubled dies known for the 1957 proof nickel, including one listed in the CherryPickers Guide. We would need closer pics to help you figure out which one. But here's the reference I would use for this: http://www.varietyvista.com/04a%20J...s%201957.htm

If it happens to be DDO-004 (FS-101) I would guess it would be worth around $30-40. Potentially less as ICG is not universally recognized as a reputable grader. A PCGS PF66 example sold for $69 on GreatCollections earlier this year. I can't find a completed auction for a PF65 example.

If it's not DDO-004 (FS-101) it would not be worth much more than a normal 1957 proof.

As to a value, check ebay's SOLD listings for a rough idea of it's worth.
