Bear with me it's a really hard area for me to photo, I know a lot of these quarters have extra hair lines behind the ear and I'm pretty sure I found one. I'll try and get a better picture later but this is what I could get for now.

I see a contact mark from the reeded edge of another coin just below Washington's ear, is that what you're talking about? Not seeing any doubling. I suggest looking at Wexler's listings for State Quarter DDOs to get a better sense of what they tend to look like. https://doubleddie.com/179401.html

Wexler lists three on the earlobe area. WDDO-003 is the nicest one.

@wrekkdd The strand of hair you're talking about is part of the normal design of the coin, I believe. If you think I'm mistaken, please post a side by side with another wisconsin State Quarter obverse for comparison (please use another wisconsin as small adjustments to the design are sometimes made from year to year). Looking online, all Wisconsins seem to have the hair curl I see on yours.

Ya the area I'm talking about in every State Quarter I have it's the same except for this one. I would have written it off as a ding if it wasn't just between the and where his hair is, you can't make anything out from this picture other then there is something behind his ear that should lnt be there. I have seen other DDO listings where there is 2-3 extra hair lines behind the ear(though none listed for this quarter year. So mayb just a bit of gunk behind the ear but non on the ear or in the hair in the same area. I'll have to wait untill I get my scope to know for sure.
