I have found a 2 1973 d pennies the initial FG are profound on both also one of the 78d are red in good condition almost mint the other is brown also on a 1978d I found no initials that are applied can some one please help and give me so.e insight about there worth if any thank new from Chicago  *** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title.  . I am not sure what you are asking us? You will also need to take better photos,the better the photos the better we can help you.I do know that 1973,the FG is normally larger and bolder. John1

Iam asking if the 1973d is worth anything in a ms state and is it possible for the 1978 d have missing initials said FG thanks I will submit better pics

 when presenting coins here for assessment and grading full blown up photos of both sides is necessary. be careful with too much light as it washes out the surfaces so photos taking in natural light are better.

Welcome to CC! The 1973D is a common coin minted in the billions. Even today they can be found in circulation in mint state. However, the vast majority are MS-64 and lower. It would have to grade at least MS-67 to justify the grading costs. Compare your coin to the PCGS examples: https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...d-1c-rd/2962It is also pretty common to have the FG part of the die filled with grease. This can cause the FG to be faint or non-existent. We call these "greasers" and typically, they are not worth anything more than face value of the coin because it's a pretty common occurence and not considered an "error".
