Hi all,

Spotted this one on ebay today:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/284431103376

I was shocked to see a circulated New Rochelle appear at all. Normally I'd be all over it as a condition rarity, but it looks like it's been cleaned at least once.

What say you all?

Thanks,
TSS

Very difficult circulated example to find - this is XF range but alas badly cleaned.

I suggest you pass on this one while continuing your quest for honestly circulated examples of this tremendous set.

Agree, much too bright for the apparent wear, cleaned for sure.

Can you say "Polished!"

Heeding nickelsearcher's learned advice is the only logical way to proceed on this one!

Thanks for the input everyone!

@nickelsearcher, I still remember your designation of "stopper" coins in the circulated classic commemorative set. Stinks to spot one circulated but cleaned.

Alas, the search continues.
