Here is an interesting 1992 LMC. Poor Abe appears to be pretty beat up
Looks like a haymaker, punch in the nose, and decapitated. Based on the info I have been able to digest, I would guess worn dies on the eye and nose, and much overpolishing @ the neck line. Maybe due to a clash? I do not know.
Sure wish I could overlay with a typical obverse.
Hope the images are good enough for opinions.

This is die polishing that removes the neck area. From heavy die clashes, the dies are altered to remove die clashes.

Note the area affected by clashes is the outside edges of the bust and the bays on the reverses.

It makes it look like Lincoln lost 20-30 pounds.

The more he is polished, the thinner he gets:

And missing his teeth.

I found a coin very similar to this one once, and I wrote on the 2x2 "skinny Lincoln" lol.

Thanks Coop. So my intial evaluation was pretty much correct then. Overpolishing to remove a clash.
A decapitated Abe. That is more likely today than his actual fate.
