A huge thanks goes out to Tony for helping me upgrade some of the pre 1959 coins I have. I have just finished upgrading all my coins from 1959 to present with AU and MS coins almost all with a nice red toning. It was always my intention to slowly upgrade the early ones - one decade(or 2) at a time. So I went on searching and found a seller on the Bay that had 1940 to 1958 cents for sale. the seller stated that they were in very good condition, like almost uncirculated condition coins. (which they were). But I only needed 54 coins to upgrade for this date frame - the seller sent me 140 coins! all with in these dates. so many doubles, triples or more of a date. but the seller did not have 'every date/mint' but luckily Tony's coins filled the gaps left by the seller. so a win/win all 'round. The next photos are the sellers hoard - (only thing with these coins is - is that he did not crimp or flatten the staples on the 2x2's so just how experienced is the seller? Was he just trying to get rid of coins he inherited? Who knows - but be sure that I will be examining each one before deciding which to swap out in my Dansco album.

Quote:Dearborn you may need to send me a gold bar and the puppy that coin frog forgot to send so that we are all even Well now, I think I finally have a use for the lead bar and the iron pyrite I was holding onto for a 'rainy day'. Give me time to get that lead bar electroplated with the pyrite and in the mean time, I need to find a young Tasmanian Devil to package up and get sent off to you..
