The "rippling" on the temple, side of the nose, and the field in front of his face make me think this is a later die state coin. If so, this might be a die chip, and like John replied, not a Cud.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.

Just post the coin in question here. You'll get an answer quicker here. Often you may have examples of the same issue. So post one to get the answer. No need to post 10 examples of the same issue on different threads. Chips happen.

How can I tell if these are incuse or raised devices/chips? Note the reflections. Light on one side incuse. Other side raised.

The tear drop from Jefferson's eye does resemble modern forms of doubling, however I don't think that type of doubling was possible in 1955 because dies then were not prepared in the same way they are now.
