This was one of my favorite finds from a dealer I have never been to before , and to me it grades about AU-50+. I am fairly sure this is a scarce variety, and I learned of it on coinsandcanada.com first.
I am just curious if anybody else here has seen many of these and if others concur with the average grade which I understand can fluctuate somewhat.

Nice coin and scarce variety, but don't think that it's AU

i also don't think this will make AU. EF40 tops. Nice repunched 5 though.

I think my lighting threw off the details and made it seem slightly lower in grade, and yeah judging by my photos, I would agree with XF grading, though in person it seems AU.

There are actually three different varieties of the double 5 in 1858 dime, one of them being a triple 5.
