I have read on numerous occasions that experienced collectors state that it takes years of viewing coins to realize what you are looking at. I could view a million coins and still have no clue. here are several instances.

1. Metal flow towards the rim?
2. Weak strike (although I have some clue on this one)
3. Bag marks as opposed to a tiny scratch
4. coin friction and album rubs
5. early and late die state
6. details and strikes depending on the year
7. I could go on and on

I truly believe I could shorten the learning curve tremendously with pictures of these issues.
I have been told to look at as many slabbed coins as possible.
I bought coins in every grade from EF to MS-68.
I have bought coins from different grading services to compare.
I recently submitted coins to check if I have learned anything.
There must be some info I have not run across?
Reasonable advice on any of these would surly be appreciated!
What am I missing here? A picture of this problem looks like this and so on would help. Thoughts

A good place to start is the CoopHome topic, which is an index to more detailed topics. Although it is variety and error focused, there is some overlap because knowing the things on your list helps determine what is and is not an error or variety.

Bigfish: You are on the correct learning path. Just stay here in the CCF, and the self education will continue.
That is my experience.
