I'm looking at an Ireland Gun Money with a shattered die reverse with a grade of VF30. Which, judging from some others I have graded by PCGS, the grade appears accurate. My first question, factoring in the submission fees, what percentage of the recent market results should I place as my maximum bid? Originally I intended on around half, but since I have yet to see another with such dramatic die shattering I'm not sure. Second, could ICG have overlooked that it was a weak strike from worn dies which may result in a slightly higher grade from PCGS? I've not submitted any from them so I'm hoping someone has with advice.
