Hi,
This is my first forum to be a part of so I'm not aware of the etiquette so please let me know. I go by fraxxture here on the forum ,and I collect coins, gemstones, baseball cards, guitars, tools, silver. I've been collecting since I was about 7 when I got my first set of cards and every yard cut from there on out turned a new pack. I am happily married, with two daughters, and plan on passing it all down to my kids.

Fraxxture: to CCF!

You are a more complete bowerbird than me!
Just remember: your family always comes before whatever you collect.

I have also been collecting coins since I was in elementary school. I also have a very extensive collection of cut gemstones of around 250 pieces inherited from my dad. I have also cut about 80 stones myself from a faceting machine machine that he built for me.
Classic cars? - I have a few of those.

You asked about the etiquette; you'll see a row of links near the top, and the rightmost one is "Rules" which covers rules on conduct, posting and some general items. It's very good to review the FAQ and Tutorials link - you'll find a lot of useful information there as a new member.

I'm mainly a coin collector at this stage of my life, but in the past have also collected things as diverse as antique maps, baseball cards, stamps, minerals, fossils, cigar boxes, matchbooks, and on and on. My wife would say I collect tools, as well, but I just feel it's never possible to have too many tools .

Welcome!!!!
I used to collect guitars too but quit playing about 20 years ago and gradually sold them off. All but one that is. I liked PRS, fender USA, and had a few Huss and Dalton acoustics. I kind of miss them but I was an average player. Now I obsess over Morgan dollars..

Years ago I wanted to start a collection of electric knives. Every model and every maker as far back as I could go. It would have been fairly easy on ebay. Old and new knives were cheap and a huge variety. Have you ever heard of someone collecting electric knives? What's the oddest collection you have seen or heard about?
