Ummm, "Double Die" and not Doubled Die? Ummm... That's one heck of a Type-O!
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

It seems this reference is based somewhat off Hans Zoell's work, so some terminology and categorization will differ from American works as well as more recent error/variety references.

Notably Zoell seems to have categorized doubled dies, Machine Doubling, and Die Deterioration Doubling together at times, referring to them as just "double _". Although this glossary has separated those terms.

29. Retarded Coin

Haven't heard that one before. Surprised that's still accepted terminology, although since it took me this long to hear about it probably isn't, rightfully.

It was originally published in French.
A lot doesn't make sense due to poor translation.
In the French version it is correctly called doubled die not double die.
Retarded coin should have been slow ejection = double struck or indent due to ejection problem

The coin in this thread would be classified by them as retarded coin http://goccf.com/t/406903&SearchTerms=indent

"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

Hans Zoell classified the following items as varieties and anything else was an error. It is a coin struck with an approved design, on good planchets, with good approved dies, and with good calibrated equipment using the proper pressures/force. Zoell never classified an MD as a variety .. it was an error. Most of those he thought should be errors were published in the pamphlets titled "Minor" in the name. For varieties , you need to get the "major" pamphlets/guides. He split the minor anomalies after the 3rd edition .... from 1 to 3, you could fing both errors and varieties in the pamphlet.
