XF40 old cleaning. again its a tossup if it pulled the designation. sometimes they let it slide sometimes not

I had graded this as EF40 and here is what PCGS thought of it.

Wow, PCGS has been all over the map with the 3 you have listed. Maybe a net grade on this one. I was between VF35 and XF, could see 35, but no less, unless they net down for the old cleaning and overall surfaces (few small rim hits as well).

I too was at VF35 before scrolling down to post and seeing it was already shown. Not too far off on this one, at least, as if that's any consolation.
