I found this at a dealers booth at a flea market for only a dollar. To me, it looks 1800s Afghani but I could be wrong, and I know it is a silver coin about the size of a nickel.

Im not sure if even these photos are upside down, rotated 90 degrees or what?

Are you sure that's silver?
I think it's a contemporary counterfeit of a British India (Bombay) Rupee, KM#260.1. The calligraphy is "off" when compared to others.

The photos are correctly oriented. I agree that the appearance is similar to Indian rupees. It is crude, the surface is very strange, and I don't see a date or regnal year. A weight and diameter would help determine authenticity.

Several updates: took this to a coin dealer, and determined it was about 94% silver. The ruler is Shah Alam II from 1759-1788 and 1789-1806 from the bottom picture.

second picture seems to me to be Badshah Ghazi,

the name of the ruler would be above this.
Mint is off also.
