Pretty worn but I agree with the Small 8 variety.
Looks like the 1908 Cross/ Bow Tie

I thought the cross and bow tie indicates a large 8 .....can someone correct/educate me ?

The Large 8 has the Bow Tie
The Small 8 has the Cross/ Bow Tie
