Hello all and thanks for reading.

This is off to ANACS for grading. Was surprised when I bought it as I'm a novice collector, never looked at VAMs till I got interested in the 1921 Peace to accompany my purchase of a 2021 anniversary of like kind.

Should be back from ANACS mid OCT. Any guesses on the grade please?

Posting for fun as I've seen two VAM 1H going for good coin on ebay recently with MS grades. This one? no MS but maybe worth something more to someone than me.

I am not good at grading, that said...AU-58 cleaned if genuine. Where did you get it and what did it cost?

Thanks John1. ebay seller and not marked as a VAM. Just over $400. I do see the hairlines too and wonder if they're from cleaning or another source as they are so scattered. Very nice appearance in hand.

I've heard that a lot of the 1921 Peace dollars were weakly struck. Is it possible that this is actually an MS-60?

Were these images captured using a flatbed scanner?

I'm going to say MS60 Details (Cleaned) as luster wise it looks bone dry. Improper cleaning left too many hairlines.

Let us know the results as would love it to surprise us all

FYI for those who asked for a follow-up. Sent to ANACS and got an email with the grades for the coins I sent in. This one is coming back VAM 1H Elite 30 with a straight AU58.

Oh... yes. The photos were done on my flatbed scanner.
