notches? plus the tail of the 9 looks wide, can you tell anything?

Yes, it does look like notches and yes there does seem to be some extra thickness in the tail of the 9 digit in the date. Both are indicators of a doubled die, however, an in hand examination would probably be called for to ascertain if it is a doubled die.

The images are to close to tell for sure. Try backing off the image closeness and we can get a better idea if it is too minor?

Don't bother sending it anywhere. Look at every coin of that same date. They all almost all look like that on LIBERTY. You are simply noticing that for the first time.

Die polishing is what effected the numerals.
