It is one of the King George V small cents series minted between 1920 and 1936 with over 9 million struck. Report this Post to the Staff

Silver101 Pillar of the Community Canada 1081 Posts	Posted 10/01/2021 4:35 pm I really like those coins...the George V pennies are such a lovely design. I collected the whole range of Canadian 1 cents from 1858 through to about 1960 during my childhood. Mostly they were much like this one. I had a few with the full band across the base of the crown but mostly they were worn items that had been carried about in pockets and that still turned up in your change every now and then. We had a neighbour who ran a laundromat and he used to sort all the old silver out of his machines and bring them around to our house. Very fond memories! Report this Post to the Staff
