Im not sure what it is,but,That little glob in the upper right hand corner.makes it look like it used to be a pendant or charm.....It also looks like a date on reverse,maybe 1763,....hmmmm

This coin looks like a 4 Fauls from Morocco, from the Fes mint. I can't make out the date but it is circa 1850-70's. C# 166.2.

To clarify what echizento said: these cast copper coins of Morocco are dated using "Western-style" numerals (just like ours), but using the Islamic calendar. This one looks like 1283 AH, which would translate to 1866 AD.

the piece that looks like it was part of a pendant is caused by the casting process, it is usually trimmed off but not always.
