1918 Cent With Gold Looking Plating

Wrekkdd Pillar of the Community Canada 3328 Posts	Posted 09/30/2021 1:36 pm I'm not sure if someone was trying to make a fake coin or what the plating does not match the coin it self, looks like flowing hair on the obverse. My friend is curious about it. Only info I could give him was bent and someone plated it. I wonder what it looked like when fully plated. Report this Post to the Staff

I've done a few coins with some of my wife's gold leaf, quite inexpensive, about a buck a coin, but not very durable and should be shellacked or varnished.
